| If you think you might be the subject of convert eavesdropping, this circuit can be used to find the bug. If you don't need to find hidden transmitters but do work with RF projects, this same circuit makes a very handy piece of test equipment. Either way, this project will give a quick visual indication of relative signal strength. A stronger signal lights more of the 8 LED's, a weaker signal causes fewer of them to turn on. Sensitivity is user adjustable. A length of wire (20 to 30 inches long) can be used as an antenna when testing for bugs or locating hidden transmitters, or a simple probe can be made out of RG174 coax and a small capacitor for use testing or troubleshooting RF circuits. Although this circuit will preform powered by a 9V battery, it works best at 12V. This is a quality circuit, equal to many professional finders. This circuit will pick up any transmitter within about twenty feet. A very useful and handy circuit. Board size is about 2 1/2" x 3" inches.
