Description |
| This kit uses an infrared beam to monitor door and passageways or any other areas for security. A transmitter sends an IR beam up to 75 feet to a receiver, (on a seperate PC board) break the beam and a relay is tripped. Use the relay to control a bell, alarm, or even a video recorder and camera. Suitable for detecting customers entering a shop, cars coming up a driveway, etc. The IR beam is very strong and distances over 25 yards can be monitored. Operation requires a 9 to 12V wall adaptor is fine. Circuit description is included for the transmitter and receiver boards. This kit is recommended for the advanced builder. Protection from moisture and the elements must be taken if your going to use this circuit outdoors. Board sizes are about 1" x 1 3/4" (transmitter) 1 3/4" x 2" inches (receiver).
