This kit offers the builder a complete course on how an AM-FM radio works. This is the Intergrated Circuit version. The unique design of this kit allows you to place the parts over its corresponding symbol in the schematic drawing on the surface of the printed circuit board during assembly.
This technique maximizes the learning process while keeping the chances for an assembly error to a minimum. Kit includes a 56 page training course divided into nine lessons; Audio, Amplifier, AM Detector, AM IF, AM Amplifier, AM Mixer and Oscillator, FM Detector, 1st FM IF, 2nd FM IF, FM RF Stages. Superheterodyne receiver of standard AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation) braoadcast frequencies. Includes a radio mounting stand. The PC board size is 11 5/8" x 5 1/4" inches. A 9V battery is required. This is an excellent kit for students and technical schools.
Kit contains over 55 components, solder, stand, and screened PC board. This kit contains small parts and requires assembly.
