Do you want to know what 110dB of noise sounds like? Well now you can easily find out. This kit produces between 108 to 111dB output at about 3 feet when it was measured using a sound meter.
The circuit is built around the 556 IC which contains two 555 timers and various other components. This circuit has the potential to generate over 200 volts and give you quite a shock. The builder must be very careful when building and operating this cuicuit. The piezo element is overdriven to give maximun noise output.
This kit includes a case with two piezo elements. The voltage requirements are between 5 to 15 volts. A good power supply is recommended. Case size is about 2" x 3" inches. Kit includes over 18 components, schematic, and screened PC board.
